We work out what is coming out, what is worth keeping, and what is hiding under the growth, because overgrown ground usually has something buried in it.

Cut and clear the growth
Scrub, brambles and saplings are cut down and taken out, which is normally the point where the actual shape of the plot becomes visible.

Strip out structures and waste
Old sheds, fencing, rubble and dumped material are broken down and removed.

Level and hand back
The ground is levelled off so you have open, workable ground to plan on.
